Leggwork is partnering with a market-leading specialist in utility and geophysical surveying, delivering services across some of the UK’s most prestigious and technically complex infrastructure schemes. With continued growth across major highways, rail, energy and water frameworks, the business is expanding its GPR Survey capability to support long-term project delivery across the Midlands and surrounding areas. This is an opportunity to work on high-end, nationally significant infrastructure projects, using advanced Ground Penetrating Radar systems as part of a well-established and technically strong surveying team.
The Role
As a GPR Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality GPR and integrated utility surveys across complex project environments. This is a hands-on, site-based role with consistent workload, strong earning potential, and clear progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering GPR surveys for major infrastructure and civil engineering projects
- Operating Ground Penetrating Radar systems, alongside EM locators where required
- Supporting and integrating surveys with PAS128 utility mapping standards
- Interpreting GPR data to identify buried assets, obstructions, voids and anomalies
- Producing accurate, clear survey outputs and technical reports
- Identifying potential clashes, risks and design constraints
- Working independently on site while collaborating with project managers and senior surveyors
- Maintaining excellent health & safety standards across live infrastructure environments
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven experience delivering GPR surveys on construction or infrastructure projects
- Confident operating Ground Penetrating Radar equipment
- Experience working within PAS128 environments
- Good understanding of subsurface risk, buried services and survey constraints
- Ability to work independently, manage workload and meet project deadlines
- Strong H&S awareness within civil engineering or infrastructure settings
- Full UK driving licence (company van provided)
Desirable:
- Background in utilities, civil engineering, highways, rail or major infrastructure
- QCF / ProQual or equivalent surveying qualification
- Experience integrating GPR with EM locating and utility data
