Leggwork is partnering with a market-leading specialist in utility and geophysical surveying, delivering services across some of the UK’s most prestigious and technically complex infrastructure schemes. With continued growth across major highways, rail, energy and water frameworks, the business is expanding its GPR Survey capability to support long-term project delivery across the Midlands and surrounding areas.

This is an opportunity to work on high-end, nationally significant infrastructure projects, using advanced Ground Penetrating Radar systems as part of a well-established and technically strong surveying team. As a GPR Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality GPR and integrated utility surveys across complex project environments. This is a hands-on, site-based role with consistent workload, strong earning potential, and clear progression.

  • Delivering GPR surveys for major infrastructure and civil engineering projects
  • Supporting and integrating surveys with PAS128 utility mapping standards
  • Interpreting GPR data to identify buried assets, obstructions, voids and anomalies
  • Producing accurate, clear survey outputs and technical reports
  • Identifying potential clashes, risks and design constraints
  • Working independently on site while collaborating with project managers and senior surveyors

Proven experience delivering GPR surveys on construction or infrastructure projects is required, along with a good understanding of subsurface risk, buried services and survey constraints. The ability to work independently, manage workload and meet project deadlines is essential, as is strong H&S awareness within civil engineering or infrastructure settings. A full UK driving licence is necessary (company van provided).

A background in utilities, civil engineering, highways, rail or major infrastructure is preferred, along with a QCF / ProQual or equivalent surveying qualification. Experience integrating GPR with EM locating and utility data is also beneficial.

Real Work / Life Balance: Overtime paid at a premium (outside of 8 hours): Mon - Fri (Night Shift) & Weekends (Days): 1.5x / Weekend (Night Shift): 2x.

Structured development into higher-value surveys and senior roles, company van, fuel card and full GPR & survey equipment, subsidised QCF Level 3, 5 & 6 qualifications, ongoing technical training and development, and clear progression within a growing, specialist surveying business.
