Leggwork is recruiting for a Senior Utility Surveyor to join a leading land and utility surveying specialist delivering PAS128 utility surveys, underground utility mapping and major infrastructure projects across the South East. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Utility Surveyor, PAS128 Surveyor, Underground Utility Surveyor or Geospatial Surveyor looking to take on a senior role with leadership responsibilities, technical input and long‑term career progression.

You’ll work on major civil engineering, highways, aviation, utilities and infrastructure frameworks, using GPR, EML, Cat & Genny and utility mapping technology to deliver high-quality survey data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and oversee PAS128 utility surveys
  • Carry out underground utility detection using GPR, EML, Cat & Genny and electromagnetic location equipment
  • Review survey data and prepare client deliverables
  • Lead and mentor junior utility surveyors
  • Liaise with clients, engineers and project teams
  • Ensure survey quality, technical accuracy and health & safety compliance

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ utility surveying experience
  • Strong knowledge of PAS128 standards
  • Experience using GPR, EML and utility detection equipment
  • Ability to lead survey teams on site
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Experience:

  • QCF, ProQual Level 5 or equivalent surveying qualification
  • CSCS Card
  • Experience on highways, aviation, rail, water, utilities or civil engineering projects
