Leggwork is partnering with a leading specialist in land and utility surveying, recognised for its involvement in some of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects. With continued demand across major civil engineering, highways and water frameworks, the business is expanding its Utility Survey team to support long-term delivery across the South East. This is an opportunity to work on nationally important infrastructure schemes, gaining exposure to complex projects while developing your technical capability within a well-established surveying team.
The Role
As a Utility Surveyor, you will support the delivery of utility and PAS128 surveys across major project environments. The role is hands-on and site-focused, offering a consistent workload and progression opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting Utility and PAS128 surveys in line with client specifications and company procedures
- Operating specialist equipment including Cat & Genny and GPR
- Ensuring survey deliverables meet required technical standards and deadlines
- Accurately reporting survey findings, including identifying clashes, risks or anomalies
- Working independently on site while collaborating with project teams and senior surveyors
- Maintaining strong health and safety standards across live infrastructure sites
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering utility surveys within PAS128 environments
- Confident using EM locators, Cat & Genny and exposure to GPR
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines independently
- Good understanding of H&S procedures within civil engineering environments
- Full UK driving licence (company van provided)
Desirable
- QCF / ProQual or equivalent surveying qualification
- Background in civil engineering, highways, construction or water & utilities
