We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Operations Director – Europe within our Operations team to help support our Automotive business. Did you know we are the world\’s leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers, as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry? Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Wireless Charging, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As an Operations Director – Europe, you will collaborate closely with our Branch Managers and cross functional teams, at sites in the UK, Austria, Belgium, and Hungary. Your mission will be to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products to our esteemed global clientele.

As the Operations Director – Europe, you will:

  • Oversee Operational Profit & Loss for the region
  • Drive efficiencies through continuous improvement activities
  • Prepare business cases for capital expenditure requests
  • Set goals for direct reports aligned with the business strategy
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Align workforce planning with business needs and forecast predictions for a 24-month rolling period
  • Lead a Safety First approach and maintain a zero-incident culture

What you will need to be successful:

  • University Degree in Business, Economics, Manufacturing or Engineering or other quantitative degree
  • Minimum 10+ years of strong business experience
  • Automotive experience
  • Business acumen with proven track record and expertise
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience rapidly building and analyzing business plans
  • Expert project management skills with track record of managing multiple projects and driving results
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence decisions and drive results through internal partnerships
  • Strong positive / can-do attitude and comfort interacting with all levels of an organization
  • Proactive problem solving skills
