We're looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Transport Assistant to join our friendly Logistics team at our Rotherham Head Office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

About the Role
As a Transport Assistant, you'll help coordinate transport arrangements across the Leger Shearings Group, ensuring customers enjoy a seamless and enjoyable travel experience.
Working within our Transport Logistics team, you'll liaise with suppliers and colleagues across the business to support the efficient delivery of our transport operations. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth running of holidays for thousands of customers each year.
This role is based at our Rotherham Head Office and is not suitable for remote or hybrid working.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinating transport and feeder service requirements with suppliers and operational teams
- Booking, confirming and managing transport arrangements
- Handling amendments, cancellations and operational changes
- Maintaining accurate system databases and records
- Liaising with internal departments and external transport providers
- Monitoring customer and driver feedback and supporting service improvements
- Assisting with the investigation and resolution of transport-related customer concerns
- Supporting the wider Transport team to deliver an exceptional customer experience
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Is a natural problem solver who can make effective decisions
- Communicates confidently with colleagues, suppliers and customers
- Works well under pressure and manages competing priorities effectively
- Can work independently whilst also being a supportive team player
- Has a good knowledge of UK geography
- Is confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and other business systems
- Has a professional telephone manner
Previous experience in transport, logistics or administration would be beneficial but is not essential.
