About the role Reporting directly into the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will be accountable for Partnership Development across all our Legends Tour ‘owned’ Tournaments and securing sponsors and suppliers for those owned events. You will also support the CCO and commercial team in finding and retaining Official Tour Partners and Suppliers. This will involve ownership of specific prospect categories and include management of 3 rd party sales agencies. You will lead on prospect identification, outreach, presentation development, pitching, closing, and working with the central marketing team to drive inbound enquiries. It’s essential you are able to work well under pressure and to ambitious targets. Your presentation and negotiation skills will be first class and you’ll be able to enthuse those you speak to about the Tour and the opportunities it presents for companies. The role is based at our offices in Wentworth UK, with hybrid home working and has no direct reports. Salary – £50-60K plus bonus/commission Deadline for applications: 24th January 2025 Key Responsibilities Working with the commercial team to deliver the strategic plan for commercial revenue generation Developing a comprehensive database of target brands and categories Leading on outreach to key tournament sponsors, pitching the brand and sponsor deals for Legends Tour owned events – both from inbound and outbound enquiries Negotiating and closing tournament sponsorship proposals Playing an important role in the development of best-in-class sales materials, introducing Legends Tour to prospective organisations Liaising closely with internal departments and 3 rd party agencies, you will be expected to work autonomously and communicate effectively with stakeholders and interested parties Creating and driving new initiatives to generate additional revenue for the Legends Tour owned events Managing your own pipeline of prospective clients and regular reporting via the Salesforce CRM tool, whilst supporting the rest of the Sales team Working with the Legal department on sponsorship contracts and finance on monthly financial reports Representing the Legends Tour and generating effervescent enthusiasm amongst prospective sponsors and converting to multi-year sponsorship agreements Experience, Skills and Qualifications Significant experience in a sales role, preferably within the golf industry Confident working with CRM management tools, and Microsoft Office intermediate to advance level Strong communication & interpersonal skills, both internally and externally Confident proposal and presentation development and delivery Be a team player who can excel working in a small team with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude Experience of working in a fast-paced commercial environment Strong research and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail Ability to speak a second language would be an advantage About the Legends Tour We are reinventing the world of European 50+ golf, putting some of the best players, Major winners and ex Ryder Cup captains front and centre of the brand – recognisable, historic characters.
