The Venue
Bold in scale and ambition, P&J Live is the largest events complex in the North of Scotland. Opened in 2019, this £333 million, sustainability led venue delivers world class live entertainment, conferences and exhibitions, all powered by local renewable energy making it Aberdeenshire's hub for culture, innovation and global events.
The Role
To ensure that all bank accounts are reconciled each month end with reconciling items cleared promptly, maintaining an accurate posting of all transactions on to cash manager, and liaising with all departments including Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable to ensure timely receipt of reports and cash posting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations across ticketing, food & beverage, merchandise and operating bank accounts, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
- Work closely with operational departments and Finance Managers to ensure financial reports reconcile accurately and are posted to the finance system in a timely manner.
- Process and post ticketing partner transactions and reconcile Ticketmaster sales and fees against contractual agreements.
- Produce regular cash balance and treasury-related reports, supporting the wider Group Finance function.
- Act as the main point of contact for Merchant Services providers, resolving card transaction and reconciliation queries.
- Manage inter-company transfers relating to online card payment portals.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare monthly bank reconciliation files for review.
- Support the Accounts Receivable function, including:
- Posting sales invoices and credit notes.
- Processing customer payments and allocating cash receipts.
- Generating and issuing customer statements.
- Taking card payments where required.
- Monitor customer accounts, proactively chase overdue debt and maintain accurate records of all collection activity.
- Build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support timely payment and debt resolution.

- Previous experience in bank reconciliations and/or Accounts Receivable.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering a high-quality service.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments.
