Purpose‑built for world‑class live events, the arena hosts an exciting mix of international music acts, major sporting fixtures, and large‑scale corporate events. With a capacity of over 13,000, it stands as one of the region’s premier venues, combining a rich history with a vibrant programme that continues to attract visitors from across the UK.

As a Casual Kitchen Assistant you will play a key role in supporting the kitchen team by ensuring a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. You will assist in food preparation, washing dishes, and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are upheld.

We are looking for candidates who are available to start at the beginning of September, with a couple of induction shifts throughout August.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
  • Support the kitchen team with food preparation, including basic tasks such as chopping and ingredient prep.
  • Ensure all dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitised efficiently.
  • Assist with stock deliveries, ensuring items are stored correctly and safely.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste safely and maintain a tidy working environment.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Prioritise tasks effectively to support service during busy periods.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or similar fast‑paced environment is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
  • A positive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to support the wider team.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a physically demanding role.
