Technology is at the heart of every event, with reliable connectivity and resilient infrastructure critical to delivering exceptional experiences for organisers, exhibitors, visitors, and employees.

About The Role: The Network & Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Olympia’s network and infrastructure estate. The role is responsible for the day-to-day operation of both event technology platforms and corporate infrastructure, ensuring highly available, secure, and high-performing services across the venue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot wired, wireless, internet, and event-specific networking solutions.
  • Provide on-site technical support during event build, live operations, and breakdown periods.
  • Maintain and administer corporate network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, switches, routers, servers, storage, virtualisation, backup, and cloud platforms.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, proactively resolve issues, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Deliver 2nd and 3rd line support for network and infrastructure incidents, changes, and service requests.
  • Perform routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, and health checks.
  • Support cyber security initiatives, including firewall management, access controls, vulnerability remediation, security monitoring, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Contribute to infrastructure and networking projects, technology upgrades, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to system performance, resilience, and operational efficiency.

We Are Looking For Someone With:

  • Experience supporting enterprise network and infrastructure environments.
  • Strong knowledge of networking technologies, including wired/wireless networks, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with switches, routers, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, Microsoft server/cloud technologies, and virtualisation platforms.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with IT service management processes and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience with Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Azure, Microsoft 365, network monitoring tools, SD-WAN, and high-density Wi-Fi environments is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting event venues, exhibitions, hospitality, stadiums, arenas, or other large public-facing environments is desirable.
  • Relevant degree, apprenticeship, equivalent experience, or industry certifications (e.g. CCNA/CCNP, Aruba, Fortinet, Azure, ITIL).
