About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Visualisation & Virtual Production Specialist to join our team and help design and deliver world-class stage and event experiences. This role combines advanced 3D modelling, real-time rendering, and procedural design with deep knowledge of live event production workflows. You’ll work closely with producers, technical crews, and creative teams to bring concepts to life through immersive, scalable visualisations. This is a 12 month fixed term project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create modular 3D assets (stages, rigging points, audience sections) that can be resized or reconfigured.
  • Develop real-time environments in Unreal Engine 5 (or Unity) for live previews and interactive adjustments.
  • Use procedural tools (e.g., Houdini) to generate scalable geometry and parametric layouts.
  • Translate production briefs into accurate 3D layouts, considering rigging, sight lines, and logistics.
  • Implement dynamic lighting and physically based rendering pipelines for realistic previews.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers using CAD/BIM data exchange (DWG/DXF/IFC).
  • Automate workflows using Python, Blueprints, or C# for size changes, reporting, and data export.
  • Document design decisions and manage version control (Git, Perforce).
  • Deliver assets ready for on-site installation or broadcast within tight timelines.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 (or Unity) for live previews and interactive adjustments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, Cinema 4D.
  • Skilled in Houdini or similar tools for parametric and scalable geometry generation.
  • Experience with V-Ray, Arnold, and UE Lumen for realistic previews.
  • Proficient in Python, C#, and Blueprints for workflow automation and data export.
  • Ability to work with DWG/DXF/IFC files for collaboration with architects and engineers.
  • Strong communication skills, clear documentation, and version control (Git, Perforce).
  • A creative problem-solver with strong technical expertise.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and managing iterative design cycles.
  • Passionate about live events and pushing the boundaries of virtual production.
