The Venue first direct bank arena, Leeds is the largest indoor entertainment venue in Yorkshire, hosting approximately 100 events per year covering everything from exhibitions to national touring shows including stand-up comedy, live music and a wide variety of entertainment events.

The Venue Host plays a vital role in creating a positive first and lasting impression for all guests visiting the first direct bank arena. As the face of the venue, this role is responsible for meeting and greeting guests both outside and inside, ensuring every visitor receives a warm, friendly and professional welcome. The postholder will deliver exceptional customer service at all times, helping to create an inclusive, safe and enjoyable environment that enhances the overall guest experience.

The Responsibilities

  • Deliver a warm, professional welcome to all guests.
  • Actively engage with visitors to create a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Serve as a visible and approachable point of contact for enquiries.
  • Provide support with directions, facilities, accessibility and event information.
  • Ensure guests feel valued and supported throughout their visit.
  • Deliver consistently high standards of customer service.
  • Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Support an inclusive and welcoming environment for all guests.

Guest Services & Operations

  • Provide venue, local area and transport information as required.
  • Assist with wayfinding, ticketing enquiries and venue services.
  • Support VIP and hospitality guests to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Work with internal teams to meet guest needs and maintain safety.
  • Report incidents, concerns and feedback in line with procedures.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with Front of House, Security, Ticketing and Event teams.
  • Contribute positively to team culture, especially during busy events.
  • Participate in training to continuously improve service standards.
