About the Role

You will support the Box Office Manager in driving ticket sales, engaging audiences, and ensuring every visitor’s journey—from enquiry to curtain call—is efficient, professional and memorable, with flexibility to support wider venue operations where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional box office experience by selling tickets in person and via phone, providing knowledgeable guidance, and responding to all customer enquiries and complaints across multiple channels.
  • Support the Box Office Manager in the smooth day‑to‑day running of the function, ensuring service levels are met and operations remain efficient at all times.
  • Manage event‑day responsibilities, including liaising with customers, promoters, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of concerts and performances.
  • Handle financial processes accurately, including reconciling daily transactions, reporting discrepancies, and authorising refunds in line with company guidelines.
  • Maintain ticketing operations through the AXS system, including event set‑up, sales management, batch ticket printing, and providing sales insight to promoters as required.

We Are Looking For Someone With

  • Proven experience working in a supervisory or customer‑facing role, confidently engaging with colleagues at all levels and building strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills across written, telephone, and face‑to‑face interactions, with a professional and well‑presented approach.
  • A strong track record in customer service and sales, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
  • Solid administrative capability, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to manage tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • A proactive, self‑motivated mindset, working independently, with experience in ticketing systems such as AXS, Ticketmaster or Eventim an advantage.
