The predicted salary is between 40500 - 49500 £ per year.

The Bridgewater Hall is an internationally celebrated concert venue in Manchester, delivering over 300 performances each year. The Senior Lighting Technician is a key member of the technical team, supporting the delivery of a diverse programme of events and ensuring all technical operations are delivered safely and efficiently.

The role encompasses:

  • Setup, operation, and maintenance of lighting, rigging, sound, and AV equipment.
  • Supporting room configurations, event production, and general venue operations.
  • Leading and supporting technical staff, ensuring work is delivered in line with health & safety regulations.
  • Providing technical support for events, including setup and maintenance of various equipment.
  • Acting as an in-house lighting engineer and rigger, liaising with clients and productions.
  • Maintaining technical equipment and standards, supporting training and stock control.

What we're looking for:

  • Relevant qualification in a lighting-related discipline or significant professional experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of lighting and understanding of audio, AV, and rigging systems.
  • Experience in live entertainment or performance venues.
  • Previous supervisory experience and ability to solve technical problems under pressure.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and collaborative with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience operating and programming Chamsys lighting consoles.
  • Working knowledge of Digico audio consoles and Meyer loudspeaker management systems.
  • Entertainment rigging qualifications.
  • Electrical qualifications.
  • IPAF certification, CAD experience, and good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
