The Venue

The AO Arena has welcomed over 30 million guests and thousands of world-renowned artists since opening its doors in 1997. It has played a vital role in shaping Manchester's music scene and has supported artists from back-rooms to main stage. With its £50 million redevelopment, the new look AO Arena will attract more artists and more fans for many years to come.

About The Role

This is a hands-on, people-focused role at the heart of our team. Split between managing the day-to-day running of the AO Arena office and providing dedicated support to the SVP of Operations, you’ll help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll be a key connector—supporting teams, championing our culture, and making sure our people and spaces are set up for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level executive support to the SVP, including diary management, meeting prep, travel coordination, and handling confidential information.
  • Manage the AO Arena office, overseeing facilities, supplies, third-party suppliers, and leading the People Coordinator.
  • Coordinate team events, internal communications, and drive a positive office culture.
  • Support senior managers with admin tasks, diary management, process improvements, and procedure implementation.
  • Handle basic financial admin such as invoices, POs, and capex tracking.
  • Assist with corporate admin tasks, contribute to projects, and support ongoing operational improvements.

We Are Looking For Someone With

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Office Manager, or similar administrative role.
  • Strong diary management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to change.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
  • Able to build effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Maintains confidentiality and operates with integrity at all times.
