LegalVision is a market disruptor in the commercial legal services industry. Our innovative business model and custom-built technology allow our lawyers to provide a faster, better quality and more cost-effective client experience. LegalVision is a leader in delivering legal services in Australia and has assisted more than 150,000 businesses across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
To support our ambitious growth plans and supercharge our sales success, we’re looking for a highly motivated Sales Development Manager to join our team. This is a full-time role based in our Ancoats, Manchester office.
As LegalVision's Sales Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading our critical front-line revenue engine - managing both our inbound SDR team and outbound BDR team to convert warm and cold opportunities into qualified meetings for our inside and outbound sales team. We are considerably increasing our investment in the sales team and our marketing efforts, and this leadership role will be critical to us hitting our targets in this new phase of growth.
This is our largest growth area in the sales team and will be the core focus of your role. Our inbound SDR team handles marketing-generated leads, triaging and qualifying enquiries from small and medium-sized businesses seeking legal support. You will support our SDRs to qualify prospects into meetings with BDMs.
You will work with the Head of Growth and UK CRO to optimise performance and processes to ensure we hit our ambitious but achievable targets, while providing an engaging and rewarding work environment for each team member.
- Team Development and Accountability: review, coach, support and drive the performance of both SDR and BDR team members to ensure they do their best work, and are clear on all improvement and development opportunities. Maintain a structured performance review process and touch points with in-office and remote team members.
- KPI Management: monitor our key funnel leading indicators and activity KPIs across both inbound and outbound channels to create a culture of excellence within the team.
- Recruitment and Training: hire, induct and train new sales development team members (both SDRs and BDRs) to minimise ramp period, and ensure all existing team members are constantly learning and improving.
- Marketing, Product and Sales Feedback: liaise with the Marketing, Inside Sales and Outbound teams to ensure our lead generation, qualification criteria and outbound targeting strategy align with our conversion and retention goals, and that we're always maintaining an exceptional prospect experience.
Experience: You have a minimum of 3 years B2B sales development or sales management experience. Experience managing an outbound sales team is essential. Legal sales experience is not required, but professional services sales experience is highly regarded.
You live and breathe sales development - you lead by example and are constantly testing and learning to capture the best results from your team. You know how to foster a high performance, positive team culture - encouraging excellence and ensuring every team member knows what success looks like.
Ability to drive high performance: you own sales development targets, love to win and prioritise your time to generate the best returns - qualified meetings held by the sales team. You can turn an underachiever into a star and are able to effectively manage individual and team performance across different channel types (inbound vs outbound).
You’re a doer at your core and if something needs to get done (jumping on qualification calls or working a target account list yourself), you’re all over it.
A team based commission incentive structure with accelerators for high performance. ~ 25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays). ~ Contractual sick pay, birthday leave, and enhanced maternity and paternity leave. ~ Annual budget to spend on external learning and development opportunities. ~ Bupa Medical Insurance post probation. ~ Vibrant office environment in Ancoats.
