The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and motivated 6+ PQE lawyer to join our high performing Commercial team as a Practice Leader. You'll take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, advising on complex commercial matters whilst supervising and mentoring junior lawyers. This role offers genuine autonomy, direct client relationships, and the opportunity to shape your own practice within a high-performing, supportive team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical ability across a broad range of commercial matters, effective project management and client service skills, and a genuine interest in supporting LegalVision’s growth in the UK market.

Your Responsibilities
- Building and owning client relationships: You'll be the primary point of contact for your clients, acting as their trusted business adviser. Beyond delivering excellent legal work, you'll proactively identify opportunities to add value and help their businesses grow.
- Advising across diverse industries and practice areas: Your clients will span tech, healthcare, SaaS, fintech, and other cutting edge and emerging sectors. You'll draft, review and negotiate commercial and IT contracts, advise on intellectual property, licensing and partnership arrangements, and provide guidance on regulatory compliance, privacy law and consumer law matters.
- Developing your team: You'll work with the Practice Group Leader to manage, mentor and train junior lawyers and graduates, helping them develop their technical skills and commercial judgment.
- Contributing to firm growth: Share your expertise through client articles, webinars and internal training. Help establish LegalVision as the go-to firm for innovative English businesses.
The Ideal Candidate
- Essential: An English qualified lawyer with 6+ years of PQE in assisting UK business clients in a variety of commercial matters. Additional experience in privacy matters will be highly regarded.
- Ability to provide practical, commercially-focused advice that balances legal risk with business objectives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to clients.
- Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Client-focused approach with strong relationship-building and service delivery skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Commercially minded, solutions-focused, and aligned with a modern, growth-driven legal services model.
- Previous people management experience will be highly valued.
