LegalVision is a leader in delivering legal services, having assisted thousands of businesses across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. If you are excited about the prospect of being a part of an innovative and growing business that offers challenging work, a fast‑paced environment, and rewarding professional development opportunities, then joining our Growth team will be the perfect career move!
The Opportunity
To support our team to do their best work, we are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Manager to join us. This is a full-time, ~12-month fixed‑term contract (maternity leave cover) based in our Ancoats, Manchester office. As a Sales Development Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the ongoing growth of LegalVision by ensuring our SDRs and BDRs are performing to the best of their abilities. Our SDRs handle marketing‑generated leads, triaging and qualifying enquiries from small and medium‑sized businesses seeking legal support. You will support our SDRs to qualify prospects into meetings with BDMs. This will be the core focus of your role. You will also work alongside the Outbound Sales Development Manager to help drive performance across the outbound team. Our outbound BDRs work across multiple channels, including warming up known LegalVision contacts and pursuing cold target lists. Finally, with the Head of Growth and UK CRO, you will optimise performance and processes to ensure we hit our ambitious but achievable targets, while providing an engaging and rewarding work environment for each team member.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Development and Accountability – review, coach, support and drive the performance of sales development team members to ensure they do their best work, and are clear on all improvement and development opportunities. Maintain a structured performance review process and touch points with in‑office and remote team members.
- KPI Management – monitor our key funnel leading indicators and activity KPIs across both inbound and outbound channels to create a culture of excellence within the team. Proactively take daily action to hit and exceed targets.
- Recruitment and Training – hire, induct and train new sales development team members to minimise ramp period, and ensure all existing team members are constantly learning and improving. Identify universal skill gaps and implement targeted training programs tailored to inbound qualification and outbound prospecting methodologies.
- Marketing, Product and Sales Feedback – liaise with the Marketing, Inside Sales and Outbound teams to ensure our lead generation, qualification criteria and outbound targeting strategy align with our conversion and retention goals, and that we’re always maintaining an exceptional prospect experience.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience – You have a minimum of 3 years B2B sales development or sales management experience. Experience managing either an inbound or outbound sales team is essential. Legal sales experience is not required, but professional services sales experience is highly regarded.
- Ability to drive high performance – you own sales development targets, love to win and prioritise your time to generate the best returns – qualified meetings held by the sales team. You can turn an underachiever into a star and are able to effectively manage individual and team performance across different channel types (inbound vs outbound).
- Go Getter – You’re a self starter and you won’t stop until your team is smashing it. You’re a doer at your core and if something needs to get done (jumping on qualification calls or working a target account list yourself), you’re all over it.
The Perks
- A team‑based commission incentive structure with accelerators for high performance.
- Fast‑paced environment with exciting growth potential.
- 25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays).
- Contractual sick pay, birthday leave, and enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
- Annual budget to spend on external learning and development opportunities.
- Regular team socials, drinks and meals.
- Vibrant office environment in Ancoats.
