Overview

Seeking a motivated and commercially aware Employment Solicitor to join their growing team. This role offers development across contentious and non‑contentious matters for a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including:
  • Unfair dismissal
  • Discrimination claims
  • Redundancy and restructuring
  • Whistleblowing
  • TUPE
  • Managing employment tribunal claims from inception to conclusion
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements
  • Providing strategic, commercially focused advice to clients
  • Assisting with non‑contentious work, including:
    • Employment contracts
    • Policies and handbooks
    • Advisory support on HR issues
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
  • Candidate Requirements

    • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 1–3 years’ PQE in employment law
    • Experience handling both contentious and non‑contentious matters
    • Exposure to acting for both claimants and respondents
    • Strong drafting and analytical skills
    • Confident communicator with excellent client‑facing abilities
    • Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines
    • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach

    Desirable

    • Experience in advocacy at preliminary hearings
    • Exposure to corporate support work
