Role Description

The Legal Industry Advisor is a remote, contract role responsible for providing expert guidance on the design, accuracy, and usability of legal document templates and related content for the United Kingdom market. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and validating templates for compliance with UK law, identifying gaps or risks, and advising on updates and enhancements to support business owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals. The advisor will collaborate with product, content, and customer support teams to ensure legal information is clear, accessible, and aligned with best practices. Responsibilities also include monitoring legal developments, contributing to knowledge resources, and occasionally supporting complex customer queries by providing structured, practical guidance (without establishing an attorney-client relationship). The role requires strong attention to detail, a pragmatic approach to risk, and comfort working independently in a digital-first environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong grounding in Law, with proven expertise in UK legal frameworks relevant to commercial and consumer contracts.
  • Experience in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and standardizing contracts and agreements.
  • Ability to analyze Legal Issues and translate complex requirements into clear, user-friendly language and guidance.
  • Experience providing structured Legal Advice in a business or advisory context, with an emphasis on practical solutions.
  • Specialist knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, particularly in relation to employment contracts and workplace policies.
  • Qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive (or equivalent UK legal qualification), with active or recent practice experience.
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to adapt tone and style for non-legal audiences across digital platforms.
  • Comfort working remotely on a contract basis, with strong time management, responsiveness, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with legal tech, online documents, or SaaS platforms is beneficial.
  • Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and non-discriminatory legal practices and advice.
