This is a remote, contract role for a Compliance Counsel at Legally.io. The Compliance Counsel will oversee the alignment of the company’s operations with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting legal research
  • Supporting the creation and review of legal documents
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Providing strategic legal advice
  • Evaluating current practices and identifying areas of improvement
  • Assisting in the development of policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Expertise in Regulatory Compliance, Legal Research, and Risk Management
  • Experience in Drafting, Reviewing, and Negotiating Legal Documents
  • Strong Knowledge of Contract Law, GDPR, and Data Privacy Regulations
  • Proficiency in using legal tech tools and platforms
  • Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Dutch, French, or Spanish) is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field; legal qualification preferred
