We’re looking for a Senior Technical Data Analyst to join the Operational Planning and Insights team within our award-winning Institutional Retirement Division. This is an exciting opportunity to use your technical expertise and analytical thinking to deliver high‑quality data insights that support better decision‑making and outcomes for customers and stakeholders alike. Whilst previous experience working in Pensions could be advantageous, we are open to applications from various backgrounds and are looking to create a team environment where everybody can thrive and contribute to our ongoing data journey. This role is a Hybrid working opportunity, which will allow you to split your working week between your home and the office to find a work-life balance that works for you.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing, cleansing, validating and transforming data to meet internal and external customer needs
- Designing, developing and delivering MI and BI dashboards and reports to provide clear performance insights
- Analysing complex data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
- Leading and contributing to business‑critical projects and change initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to improve data processes, controls and systems
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver robust, reusable solutions
- Working with IT partners to specify, test and implement technical solutions
- Supporting and developing colleagues through knowledge sharing and coaching
Who we're looking for:
- Strong experience in data analysis, reporting and insight delivery within a complex environment
- Advanced skills in Excel and experience with tools or languages such as SQL, Python or SAS
- Experience producing MI, dashboards or management reports for senior stakeholders
- A good understanding of data quality, governance and risk management principles
- The ability to communicate complex information clearly and influence at different levels
- Experience of prioritising work across multiple tasks or projects to meet deadlines
- A collaborative approach with a strong focus on customer outcomes
- A degree in a mathematical or statistical discipline, or equivalent experience
Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Here are some of the benefits we offer:
- The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance-related bonus plan and valuable share schemes
- Generous pension contribution
- Life assurance
- Healthcare Plan
- At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service. There’s also the option to buy and sell holiday
- Competitive family leave
- Participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand-new electric car through tax efficient salary sacrifice
- There are many discounts we offer – both for our own products and at a range of high street stores and online
- We’re creating net‑zero carbon workplaces by 2030 by investing in our sustainable, modern offices across the UK, all designed to bring people together and elevate the in‑person experience
