Job Description We\’re recruiting for a Senior Manager Employee Communications Risk and Finance to join us on an 18 month FTC. The purpose of the Senior Manager, Employee Communications role is to be responsible for supporting Employee Communications across L&G, with a particular focus on supporting our Risk and Finance teams. What you\’ll be doing: Defining and delivering communications strategies for Risk and Finance that engages employees within the functions, L&G\’s broader Risk and Finance communities, and Group-wide employees – with a focus on how we\’re creating a growing, simpler, better-connected L&G through our approach to operationalising L&G\’s strategy Acting as business partner to senior leaders in our Risk and Finance functions, including HR, providing strategic counsel and advice to build employee confidence in our Risk and Finance functions, support strategic and transformation goals, and build trust and credibility in the functions\’ leadership during a period of organisational change in line with company strategy Working autonomously with a wide group of stakeholders across our Risk and Finance functions, challenging positively to deliver the right outcomes through business partnering, deliver communications plans and content at pace. and content that support existing and emerging needs as required by the business Taking the lead on high quality content development (e.g. copywriting, script writing), stakeholder engagement and delivery of events to support the delivery of Risk and Finance communications plans and requirements, relevant to multiple employee audiences Working collaboratively with Employee Communications colleagues to ensure communications plans and content for Risk and Finance functions are developed in sight of Group-wide plans and narratives, and that colleagues understand how Risk and Finance priorities ladder up to L&G\’s strategy Identifying and delivering opportunities to improve the delivery of employee communications, including channel management, and planning and evaluation, working closely with colleagues in Employee Communications to deliver improvements that ensure greater employee engagement and understanding of Risk and Finance priorities Ensuring communications are reviewed and approved by individuals who have the appropriate knowledge, skills, and expertise, and that such approval is recorded Qualifications Who we\’re looking for: CIPR / IOIC/ CIM or equivalent demonstrable experience required Significant knowledge of employee communications and change communications strategies Significant knowledge of developing different types of content (written, video, graphic) and designing and delivering internal events Excellent copywriter, knowledge of messaging development and crafting engaging narratives for employees Knowledge of Finance and Risk functions preferred Able to work autonomously and on own initiative to propose solutions and collaborate with others to deliver to deadline Significant experience working with senior leaders in a complex and fast-paced environment Previous experience working in complex regulated organisations, ideally in FS Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong connections and relationships across the organisation to ensure connectivity and co-ordination across all communications plans and activities Well-organised with excellent attention to detail Ability to take ownership of agreed communications activities and deliver against objectives Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and remain composed in the face of multiple projects and tight deadlines Ability to think creatively about solutions to communications challenges Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
