We are currently looking to hire a Quantitative Analyst to join L&G Asset Management and our Active Strategies team. This is an exciting opportunity where you will play a key role in enhancing investment processes and supporting portfolio management. What you will be doing:
- Creating, building and enhancing systems connecting credit analysis to portfolio construction and management
- Maintaining and improving tools for monitoring and understanding portfolios using central data sources
- Developing enhanced solutions to streamline order creation and increase portfolio management bandwidth
- Improving and maintaining tools for monitoring exposures against strategic and regulatory requirements
- Supporting credit market analysis for internal strategy meetings and external presentations
- Coordinating with other quant teams to deliver department-wide quantitative solutions
- Operating within risk, compliance and ESG requirements while promoting a strong conduct culture
Qualifications:
- Degree-level qualification; CFA or equivalent financial qualification useful but not essential
- Strong coding skills, particularly in Excel/VBA, with Python advantageous, and experience automating complex tasks
- Solid understanding of fixed income mathematics; familiarity with High Yield credit advantageous
- Knowledge of statistics and ability to apply quantitative techniques to large datasets
- Experience with MS Excel and VBA for data analysis and reporting
- An enthusiastic understanding of financial markets and investment principles
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to deliver projects effectively
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills to work across teams
