Job Description

We’re looking for a Transitions Team Manager to join our Award-Winning Pension Risk Transfer business. This is a key role in the function which will involve leading a highly skilled team that supports the transition of new Pension Risk Transfer business into L&G. You’ll lead a team of Transitions Managers, Transitions Consultants and Data Analysts, and work closely with Transition Directors, the Head of Transitions and wider PRT Client Service teams. You’ll help to ensure that we provide a smooth, well-managed transition experience for clients and members alike, and make sure that scheme transitions are delivered to high standards, within agreed timescales and with strong customer outcomes at the heart of what we do. This is a hybrid working opportunity, which will allow you to work flexibly between your home and the office, to help you find a work-life balance that works for you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing Transitions team
  • Supporting the delivery of new PRT scheme transitions from onboarding through to successful handover
  • Working with Transition Directors and wider Client Service teams to manage client requirements and expectations
  • Overseeing scheme project management, customer updates, data validation and scheme documentation
  • Managing team priorities, capacity and performance to meet service levels and contractual obligations
  • Supporting the Head of Transitions with strategy, planning and operational readiness
  • Driving continuous improvement across processes, systems and ways of working
  • Identifying operational risks and working with relevant teams to create effective mitigation plans

Who we're looking for:

  • Pensions qualification such as PMI or CII, or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Strong understanding of Defined Benefit pension schemes/Pension Risk Transfer
  • Proven experience of leading, coaching and developing teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence and ability to influence others across different business areas
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines concurrently
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience improving processes and supporting change in an operational environment
  • A customer-focused approach, with a commitment to good customer outcomes and high-quality service delivery
