What you’ll be doing

  • Developing and enhancing in‑house business development and sales‑enablement tools that support distribution and investments
  • Automating processes and proactively solving issues for internal stakeholders
  • Analysing and attributing portfolio performance
  • Automating analyses of portfolio breakdowns, index construction, index changes, and portfolio transitions
  • Automating the production of regular fund holding, attribution, and risk reports
  • Participating in ad‑hoc quantitative and qualitative research, and preparing materials for investment reports and product positioning
  • Supporting Distribution and Investment Specialists with client servicing, including responding to client requests, preparing materials for client and consultant presentations, and contributing to new business pitches
  • Over time, taking on a more externally‑facing support role, helping to generate pipeline, supporting sales conversations, and contributing to new business development across the Index & ETF platform
  • Acting as an embedded technical partner to Distribution, ensuring the team can scale its commercial activity with high‑quality, data‑driven materials and insights

Who we’re looking for

  • Proven knowledge of Python including its libraries such as pandas and NumPy
  • Understanding of financial markets, with a genuine interest in developing expertise within the Index and ETF ecosystem
  • Broad understanding of asset classes, with a focus on index strategies preferred
  • Demonstrating strong programming capability, including Python and VBA, with the ability to build new functionality and debug complex issues across the Microsoft stack
  • Applying financial and investment knowledge, with experience in investment management, index strategies or benchmarks strongly preferred
  • Developing and enhancing processes to improve efficiency and support client requests, using creative problem‑solving to design effective solutions
  • Communicating and collaborating effectively with Distribution and commercial teams, while proactively managing multiple priorities in a high‑pressure environment
