Our investment philosophy and processes are focused on creating value over the long term. We believe that incorporating financially material sustainability criteria, when relevant to our clients, can create value and drive positive change.
Job Description
We’re recruiting for a Corporate Action & Lending Support Specialist, primarily focused on the Corporate Actions vertical within the Asset Servicing Oversight team. This role provides oversight and support to Asset Management front office teams and outsourced partners across the full corporate actions lifecycle, including both mandatory and voluntary events such as notifications and election management. Operating within the Middle Office Asset Services function, it ensures an efficient and effective service aligned with broader departmental and global business objectives. The role also involves analysing and managing corporate action events, including those related to loaned securities, ensuring accurate entitlement calculations, effective borrower communication, and seamless end-to-end settlement while minimising operational and counterparty risk.
The primary function of the Asset Services function is to ensure all retained services (incl. Corporate Actions, Tax, Proxy, Income Claims and Class Actions) and outsourced activities are effectively managed and processed in accordance with market deadlines and industry best practice, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and quality control.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting Corporate Actions and securities lending oversight, managing the end-to-end lifecycle including notifications, re-notifications and election responses
- Overseeing outsourced provider performance against agreed service standards, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and quality of client service
- Assisting outsourced providers in delivering retained services and maintaining effective operational support models
- Monitoring daily and weekly KPIs/KRIs, identifying issues and escalating risks in a timely manner
- Managing operational risk across internal teams and providers, reviewing controls, ensuring regulatory compliance and communicating clearly with senior stakeholders
- Coordinating corporate action events, including monitoring announcements, interpreting impacts, managing entitlements on loaned securities and aligning stakeholders on elections
- Performing reconciliations, ensuring accurate entitlement calculations and driving timely settlements while minimising operational and counterparty risk
- Driving stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, strengthening service delivery, enhancing automation and control effectiveness, and contributing to governance, regulatory awareness and strategic initiatives
Who we’re looking for:
- Demonstrating extensive expertise in corporate actions across multiple asset classes, managing securities lending events, supporting front office execution, working to tight deadlines, navigating full lifecycle complexities, and communicating effectively across diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrating strong asset management industry experience and in-depth knowledge of corporate actions processing, risk and best practices
- Applying robust understanding of securities lending and REPO transactions, including their impact on corporate events
- Managing outsourced service delivery, combining operational expertise with awareness of client expectations and regulatory frameworks
- Overseeing third-party relationships, influencing stakeholders and driving high-quality client service outcomes
- Managing operational risk, applying control frameworks and ensuring effective resolution of service issues
- Exhibiting strong organisational capability, including planning, prioritisation, problem solving and independent decision-making
- Communicating effectively across all levels, adapting style to different audiences while operating flexibly in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Here are some of the benefits we offer:
- The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance-related bonus plan and valuable share schemes
- Generous pension contribution
- Life assurance
- Healthcare Plan (permanent employees only)
- At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service. There’s also the option to buy and sell holiday
- Competitive family leave
- Participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand-new electric car through tax efficient salary sacrifice (permanent employees only)
- There are many discounts we offer – both for our own products and at a range of high street stores and online
- We’re creating net-zero carbon workplaces by 2030 by investing in our sustainable, modern offices across the UK, all designed to bring people together and elevate the in-person experience
