We’re looking for a Brand Manager who can combine creativity with strategic thinking to help us deliver impactful brand initiatives that drive engagement and support our business goals. You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient support to the Core Brand team as well as leading on specific brand-related projects and ongoing activities.
While this includes managing the day-to-day running of our Brand Portal, a key resource for Corporate Affairs and the wider marketing community, the role goes beyond operational support. It will actively contribute to strategic brand initiatives, including work on brand architecture and governance, ensuring consistency and clarity across the business. You will also support projects that strengthen brand equity and commercial impact, alongside monitoring brand performance through tracking and insights.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing operational and strategic support to the Brand team, ensuring efficient delivery of tasks using appropriate systems and processes
- Leading the evolution and optimisation of our Brand Portal, managing core assets and templates and driving improvements through stakeholder feedback
- Supporting strategic brand initiatives including brand architecture and governance, ensuring clarity and consistency across the business
- Advising on brand implementation and design queries, engaging with the Brand Champions network and managing incoming queries
- Assisting with creative and photographic briefs, liaising with design teams and ensuring outputs meet brand standards
- Managing Trademark Licence requests and supporting partnership, new proposition and co-branding queries to ensure compliance
- Monitoring brand performance and health, providing insights to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement
- Providing project management support for key brand moments and initiatives such as Annual Results and Capital Market Events
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders
- Good understanding and strong interest in brand, with wider marketing knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with excellent organisational skills
- Experience using web Content Management Systems and understanding technical aspects of web administration including analytics
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and a collaborative approach to working in a team
- Experience working with third parties including design and branding agencies
Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Here are some of the benefits we offer:
- The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance-related bonus plan and valuable share schemes
- Generous pension contribution
- Life assurance
- Healthcare Plan (permanent employees only)
- At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service. There’s also the option to buy and sell holiday
- Competitive family leave
- Participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand-new electric car through tax efficient salary sacrifice (permanent employees only)
- There are the many discounts we offer – both for our own products and at a range of high street stores and online
- In 2023, some of our workspaces were redesigned. Our offices are great spaces to connect and collaborate and have your wellbeing at the heart
At L&G, we believe it's possible to generate positive returns today while helping to build a better future for all. If you join us, you’ll be part of a welcoming, inclusive culture, with opportunities to collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds, views, and experiences. Guided by leaders with integrity who care about your future and wellbeing. Empowered through initiatives which support people to develop their careers and excel. We care passionately about outcomes rather than attendance and are therefore open to discussing all kinds of flexible working options including part-time, term-time and job shares. Although some roles have limited flexibility due to customer demand, we accommodate requests when we can. It doesn’t matter if you don’t meet every single criterion in this advert. Instead, think about what you excel at and what else you can bring in terms of strengths, potential and connection to our purpose.
