We’re recruiting for a Key Relationship Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our Mortgage Club. You’ll manage relationships with some of the most influential firms in the UK mortgage market, helping them grow their businesses while driving adoption of our products and technology. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced relationship manager to make an impact in a dynamic, respected organisation. What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a designated portfolio of 20–25 key partner relationships across national networks and firms
- Building trusted senior relationships and leading industry conversations on figures, market trends and analysis
- Tailoring support to each account from strategic discussions with top networks to hands-on growth and enablement
- Identifying and onboarding new key accounts to expand our footprint where appropriate
- Planning and attending partner events and workshops typically monthly and representing L&G at industry touchpoints
- Collaborating with lender and distribution colleagues to deliver joined-up commercial and tech solutions
- Travelling two to three days per week to key accounts or industry events
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for:
- Proven account or relationship management experience within the mortgage sector
- Credibility with major networks and broker firms, ideally with existing relationships or familiarity with their submission routes
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record in retention, growth and contract negotiation
- Confidence discussing market performance, MI, competitor activity and technology adoption with senior stakeholders
- Flexibility and autonomy to manage a varied diary, combine home working with regular face-to-face meetings and events
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to switch between strategic and practical conversations
- Comfortable promoting and supporting tech propositions (e.g., Ignite) and learning as the landscape evolves
- Ideally CeMAP or CII qualified (or willingness to work towards)
