What you’ll be doing
- Developing and enhancing in‑house business development and sales‑enablement tools that support distribution and investments
- Automating processes and proactively solving issues for internal stakeholders
- Analysing and attributing portfolio performance
- Automating analyses of portfolio breakdowns, index construction, index changes, and portfolio transitions
- Automating the production of regular fund holding, attribution, and risk reports
- Participating in ad‑hoc quantitative and qualitative research, and preparing materials for investment reports and product positioning
- Supporting Distribution and Investment Specialists with client servicing, including responding to client requests, preparing materials for client and consultant presentations, and contributing to new business pitches
- Over time, taking on a more externally‑facing support role, helping to generate pipeline, supporting sales conversations, and contributing to new business development across the Index & ETF platform
- Acting as an embedded technical partner to Distribution, ensuring the team can scale its commercial activity with high‑quality, data‑driven materials and insights
Who we’re looking for
- Proven knowledge of Python including its libraries such as pandas and NumPy
- Understanding of financial markets, with a genuine interest in developing expertise within the Index and ETF ecosystem
- Broad understanding of asset classes, with a focus on index strategies preferred
- Demonstrating strong programming capability, including Python and VBA, with the ability to build new functionality and debug complex issues across the Microsoft stack
- Applying financial and investment knowledge, with experience in investment management, index strategies or benchmarks strongly preferred
- Developing and enhancing processes to improve efficiency and support client requests, using creative problem‑solving to design effective solutions
- Communicating and collaborating effectively with Distribution and commercial teams, while proactively managing multiple priorities in a high‑pressure environment
