We're looking for a Technical & Governance Consultant to join our Group Protection Claims team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in driving quality, consistency and continuous improvement across claims, ensuring fair customer outcomes while supporting colleagues and shaping best practice.
What you'll be doing:
- Conducting regular audits of claims decisions to ensure consistent and fair customer outcomes
- Assessing and managing appeals across Group Protection and IPB claims
- Developing and improving processes to support complaints handling and reduce root causes
- Analysing data, identifying trends and sharing insights to drive improvements
- Supporting the design and delivery of technical training across the claims teams
- Reviewing and enhancing claims philosophies, techniques and industry best practice
- Contributing to projects and process improvements across Group Protection
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and data protection standards
Who we're looking for:
- Strong experience within Group Protection claims or a similar technical environment
- Good knowledge of Group Protection and IPB products
- Understanding of relevant legislation including GDPR and industry regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confidence in reviewing complex cases and making fair, balanced decisions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting training, coaching or developing others
- Ability to manage workload effectively and work to deadlines
