We’re looking for an AI Platform Owner to play a pivotal role in shaping, building and scaling our enterprise‑wide AI platform. This role sits at the intersection of technology and business, ensuring AI solutions are delivered safely, responsibly and at pace, while creating measurable value for our customers and the organisation. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across technology, data, risk and the business, taking ownership of the platform roadmap and leading the delivery of high‑impact, pro‑code AI solutions within a strong governance framework.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning and evolving the enterprise AI platform to enable scalable and secure AI delivery
- Defining the platform architecture, roadmap and standards in line with business priorities
- Leading the delivery of pro‑code AI use cases requiring high accuracy and reliability
- Establishing and operating robust AI governance, risk and compliance controls
- Managing vendor relationships to ensure performance, value for money and contractual compliance
- Overseeing budgets, forecasting spend and tracking benefits and return on investment
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across Business units & Group, including but not restricted to Strategy, technology, security, data, risk, audit and business teams as well as collaborating with product, platform and operational leaders to align AI outcomes
- Removing delivery blockers while maintaining momentum, clarity and accountability
Who we’re looking for:
- Deep expertise in AI and data science, ideally supported by a PhD, Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Strong hands‑on AI engineering capability, with advanced Python skills and experience delivering production‑grade AI solutions and the ability to build agentic frameworks, design build and manage agents
- Proven experience designing or owning enterprise AI platforms, including architecture, standards and technical roadmaps
- Solid understanding of cloud, infrastructure, security and integration patterns supporting large‑scale AI platforms
- Experience delivering high‑accuracy, business‑critical AI use cases where risk, reliability and governance are essential
- Demonstrated ability to establish and run robust AI governance covering risk, security, regulatory and financial controls
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into clear business outcomes
- An ownership mindset, resilience in ambiguity and the confidence to shape and evolve a platform in a fast‑changing environment
