We’re recruiting for a Finance Manager to join us on a 6 month FTC. We’re offering a competitive base salary. Legal & General Affordable Homes is an ambitious, forward-looking business committed to addressing the UK’s chronic housing shortage through high-quality, affordable homes. As we launch an exciting new joint venture with Hyde Housing, we are seeking a JV Finance Manager to provide best-in-class financial support from inception.

This is a rare opportunity to shape financial processes, reporting and business partnering for a newly created regulated entity, working closely with both shareholders and senior stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing day-to-day finance activities and reporting for the joint venture businesses
  • Delivering all regulatory requirements for the registered provider entities
  • Overseeing the month-end close process for the joint venture RPs
  • Drafting quarterly finance board papers for discussion and presentation
  • Analysing performance against budget and forecast for multiple stakeholder groups
  • Business partnering with shareholder teams on joint venture financial matters
  • Managing liquidity and funding requirements and developing robust forecasting
  • Reviewing loan covenant performance and contributing to strong financial governance

Qualifications:

  • ACA qualified accountant with strong technical skills and professional judgement
  • Experience of working in a large corporate environment and meeting group deadlines
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships across teams
  • High levels of motivation, energy, and a proactive problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality outputs
  • Strong IT and presentation skills, including advanced Excel capability
  • An interest in end-to-end financial management, including JV and group accounting
  • Property or housing sector experience (advantageous but not essential)
