We're looking for a Governance & Risk Manager to join our Asset Management Chief Operating Office team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening governance, risk management and control frameworks across a complex and evolving business.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll provide expert guidance on risk and governance matters, support effective decision-making and help embed a strong risk culture.

You'll have the opportunity to influence strategic initiatives, drive continuous improvement and ensure risks are identified, assessed and managed effectively.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the delivery and continuous improvement of governance, risk and control frameworks across the business
  • Supporting the identification, assessment and management of operational risks and emerging risk themes
  • Producing risk reporting, management information and governance papers for senior stakeholders and committees
  • Managing risk and control assessments and overseeing the timely completion of remediation activities
  • Partnering with business teams to strengthen controls, improve processes and enhance risk awareness
  • Supporting operational resilience, business continuity and scenario testing activities
  • Providing expert guidance on governance and risk matters and delivering constructive challenge where appropriate
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of governance, risk and control arrangements

Who we're looking for

  • Experience working within governance, operational risk, enterprise risk or controls functions in a financial services environment
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks, risk management principles and internal control environments
  • Experience producing risk reporting and presenting information to senior stakeholders and governance forums
  • Knowledge of operational resilience, risk assessment methodologies and control frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and identify practical solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, challenge and build effective relationships
  • Experience delivering process improvements and driving positive change across teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain risk and governance concepts clearly to a range of audiences
