Job Description
We’re looking for a Claims Consultant to join our Group Protection team, where you’ll play a vital role in delivering fair and positive outcomes for our customers. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by supporting individuals and employers through the claims process, while working in a collaborative and inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
What you'll be doing:
- Validating and assessing Group Protection claims against policy terms and conditions
- Gathering and requesting medical evidence for new and existing claims in line with agreed approaches
- Calculating claim benefits accurately and in a timely manner
- Managing and progressing claim requirements with internal teams and external customers
- Building strong relationships with intermediaries and employer clients to support positive outcomes
- Investigating claims thoroughly to determine eligibility and ensure fair decisions
- Meeting service level agreements while delivering a high standard of customer experience
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting team and business projects
Who we're looking for:
- Ability to take ownership of customer queries and resolve issues effectively
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in customer service and/or administration, ideally within insurance or financial services
- Analytical mindset with strong problem solving and investigative skills
