Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced, motivated and detail‑focused Claims Assessor to join our Group Protection Claims team. Offering up to £42,000 depending on experience. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering a proactive and high-quality claims service, supporting customers and clients at important moments while ensuring fair and accurate outcomes.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assessing and triaging new Group Protection claims and identifying required evidence
  • Managing claims end to end, making fair and accurate decisions on liability
  • Authorising and processing claim payments within agreed authority levels
  • Building and maintaining relationships with IFAs, employers and stakeholders
  • Reviewing medical evidence and determining next steps in the claims process
  • Supporting rehabilitation and return‑to‑work solutions where appropriate
  • Using data and insight to support portfolio management and identify trends
  • Ensuring service delivery meets quality, regulatory and customer expectations

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience in claims, Group protection is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make balanced decisions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Good understanding of customer needs and delivering fair outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workloads effectively
  • Awareness of regulatory requirements and data protection
  • Interest in developing knowledge of Group Protection products and claims
