Underwriting Auditor – Strengthen underwriting quality and support better customer outcomes across our Individual Protection business.
Responsibilities
- Conducting regular audits of customer underwriting decisions to assess quality, consistency and risk
- Reviewing medical underwriting cases for Individual Protection products and evaluating decision outcomes
- Recording audit findings and supporting ongoing analysis, feedback and continuous improvement
- Analysing data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for enhanced efficiency and performance
- Producing and sharing reports to provide clear insight into audit outcomes and recommendations
- Supporting internal, reinsurance and compliance audits and following up on resulting actions
- Building strong relationships with underwriting teams and stakeholders to support open communication
- Keeping up to date with underwriting guidelines, tools and industry developments
Qualifications
- Experience within a protection underwriting or underwriting audit environment
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles, processes and decision‑making frameworks
- Good analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends and risks
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, accurate work
- Confidence in communicating findings and influencing stakeholders in a constructive way
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build effective working relationships
- Good working knowledge of systems and tools used to capture and analyse audit data
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering positive customer outcomes
