Job Description

We’re recruiting for an Employee Relations Advisor on a 12 months FTC to join us. We’re offering a competitive base salary. We’re looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our HR team and help foster positive, constructive relationships between our people and the organisation. This is a great opportunity to build your ER experience in a supportive team, where your advice and insight will make a real difference to employee experience, manager capability and organisational outcomes. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing clear, practical employee relations advice aligned to people policies and procedures
  • Managing and updating accurate employee records within HR systems
  • Handling a range of ER queries and escalating complex matters appropriately
  • Analysing case information to identify themes, risks and improvement opportunities
  • Organising and prioritising workload to meet service level agreements
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the ER team
  • Coaching and guiding managers on core HR processes and best practice
  • Building positive working relationships with stakeholders, HR colleagues and union partners

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience handling high‑volume HR or employee relations queries across multiple channels
  • A sound understanding of employment legislation and HR policies and procedures
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain processes, risk and options clearly
  • Good judgement and analytical skills when assessing ER case information
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence building trusted relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • A customer‑focused approach with a commitment to fair and consistent outcomes
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience

Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Here are some of the benefits we offer:

  • The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance-related bonus plan and valuable share schemes
  • Generous pension contribution
  • Life assurance
  • Healthcare Plan (permanent employees only)
  • At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service. There’s also the option to buy and sell holiday
  • Competitive family leave
  • Participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand-new electric car through tax efficient salary sacrifice (permanent employees only)
  • There are the many discounts we offer – both for our own products and at a range of high street stores and online
  • We’re creating net‑zero carbon workplaces by 2030 by investing in our sustainable, modern offices across the UK, all designed to bring people together and elevate the in‑person experience
