Job Description

We’re looking for a Technical & Governance Consultant to join our Group Protection Claims team, offering up to £42,000 dependent on experience. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in driving quality, consistency and continuous improvement across claims, ensuring fair customer outcomes while supporting colleagues and shaping best practice.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Conducting regular audits of claims decisions to ensure consistent and fair customer outcomes
  • Assessing and managing appeals across Group Protection and IPB claims
  • Developing and improving processes to support complaints handling and reduce root causes
  • Analyzing data, identifying trends and sharing insights to drive improvements
  • Supporting the design and delivery of technical training across the claims teams
  • Reviewing and enhancing claims philosophies, techniques and industry best practice
  • Contributing to projects and process improvements across Group Protection
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and data protection standards

Who we're looking for:

  • Strong experience within Group Protection claims or a similar technical environment
  • Good knowledge of Group Protection and IPB products
  • Understanding of relevant legislation including GDPR and industry regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence in reviewing complex cases and making fair, balanced decisions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience supporting training, coaching or developing others
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and work to deadlines
