What you'll be doing:
- Leading the development of new personal protection products and proposition enhancements
- Assessing product and proposition concepts against customer needs, commercial value and regulatory expectations
- Turning insight, market knowledge and analysis into practical product development decisions
- Building clear business cases for new product and proposition opportunities
- Working closely with Distribution, Marketing, Pricing, Underwriting and Claims, Conduct, Operations and Reinsurance teams
- Managing product governance activity, including Product Lifecycle Management and Value for Money assessments
- Reviewing product performance, risks and customer outcomes to ensure products remain fit for purpose
- Supporting effective delivery across multiple product development priorities
Who we're looking for:
- Strong experience in UK protection product development, ideally within personal protection
- Good knowledge of UK protection products, customers, market dynamics and regulatory requirements
- Experience managing product governance, Product Lifecycle Management and customer outcome considerations
- Ability to shape product or proposition strategy and follow through into delivery
- Experience developing business cases and influencing senior or cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to balance customer needs, business value and regulatory requirements
- Comfortable working collaboratively across multiple specialist teams and business areas
- Financial planning or insurance qualifications such as CII FPC, APFS, ACII, or equivalent experience would be helpful
