If you’re an experienced legal cashier looking for a genuinely flexible, fully remote role within a progressive legal business, this could be an excellent next step.

Why This Role Stands Out

This isn’t a traditional legal cashiering environment built around unnecessary bureaucracy and manual processes. You’ll join a modern, tech-enabled team where systems are designed to make work more efficient, processes are continually reviewed and improved, and people are trusted to take ownership of their responsibilities. The firm has built its approach around combining great people with great technology, using intelligent workflows and digital systems to reduce unnecessary administration and improve the experience for both clients and employees.

You’ll benefit from:

  • Modern legal and financial technology that reduces unnecessary manual administration
  • Well-established systems and processes

  • A culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • The opportunity to work within a growing, innovative legal business

The result? Greater flexibility, smarter ways of working and the opportunity to focus on doing your job well — without being tied to a traditional office environment.

The Role

As Legal Cashier, you’ll play an important role within the firm's finance and legal operations function, supporting the smooth and accurate management of client and office accounts. You’ll be responsible for ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Processing client and office account transactions
  • Managing receipts, payments and transfers
  • Completing client account reconciliations
  • Processing invoices and supplier payments
  • Dealing with completion statements and conveyancing-related financial transactions
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting with month-end processes and financial reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with SRA/CLC accounts requirements and internal procedures
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Supporting fee earners and the wider legal team with cashiering queries
  • Working closely with the finance and operations teams to continually improve processes

The firm operates a highly digital working environment, so you’ll be comfortable using financial systems, case management technology and other cloud-based platforms.

About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm
  • Strong knowledge of legal accounts and client money procedures
  • Experience processing client and office account transactions
  • Good understanding of the relevant legal accounts rules and regulatory requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
  • Confidence using modern financial and case management systems
