Location: Manchester

Specialism: Newbuild Residential Conveyancing

A senior newbuild opportunity with a leading property law team.

If you’re an experienced conveyancer with a strong newbuild background and you’re ready for your next move, this is an opportunity we think is well worth exploring.

We’re working with a leading property law firm to appoint a Senior Associate to join its Manchester team.

This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who wants to combine high-quality technical work with client relationships, team development and genuine career progression.

You’ll manage a varied caseload of newbuild residential transactions, work closely with developers, purchasers and other stakeholders, and play an important role in delivering an excellent client experience.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

We see this as a particularly strong opportunity for an experienced newbuild conveyancer because it offers the combination of senior responsibility, specialist work, competitive salary and an unusually comprehensive benefits package.

You’ll benefit from:

  • A specialist newbuild conveyancing environment
  • The opportunity to work with a broad range of clients and stakeholders
  • Scope to develop leadership, supervision and mentoring experience
  • A progressive and supportive working environment
  • Strong investment in employee health, wellbeing and family support
  • Extensive flexibility and time-off benefits
  • Opportunities to contribute to the wider community and workplace culture

The Role

You’ll manage a varied caseload of newbuild residential conveyancing matters, taking ownership from instruction through to completion.

The role will involve working closely with developers, purchasers, agents and other professional advisers, providing commercially focused legal advice and ensuring transactions progress efficiently.

At Senior Associate level, you’ll also have the opportunity to support and mentor junior colleagues, contribute to process improvements and help maintain consistently high standards across the team.

It’s a role that should suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, is comfortable managing a busy caseload and wants their experience to have an impact beyond their own files.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Significant experience in residential conveyancing, particularly newbuild
  • Strong technical knowledge of newbuild transactions
  • Experience managing a substantial caseload independently
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • A commercial, proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior colleagues would be advantageous

You may already be operating at Senior Associate level, or you could be an experienced conveyancer ready to take that next step.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys building strong client relationships and wants to develop their career within a high-performing property team.

Salary & Benefits

The salary is £80,000–£100,000, depending on experience.

The benefits package is a significant part of what makes this opportunity stand out, including:

Family & wellbeing

  • 6 months' enhanced primary and secondary carer leave at full pay
  • Up to £15,000 lifetime funding through Fertifa for fertility, reproductive, sexual and hormonal health
  • 10 days' funded emergency back-up care through Bright Horizons
  • Funded parental return coaching and workplace buddy support
  • Work + Family Space support and resources
  • Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 support

Health

  • Fully funded Private Medical Insurance for the majority of employees, with the option to cover dependants
  • 24/7 Digital GP through Bupa and MetLife
  • Health cash plan
  • Funded eye tests and contribution towards lenses

Flexibility & time off

  • 28 days' annual leave, with the option to buy up to five additional days
  • Birthday leave
  • A weekly Lifestyle Hour
  • Flexi Hours for greater flexibility around time off
  • A four-week fully paid sabbatical every five years, plus additional spending money

Lifestyle & community

  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Up to £100 annual matched charitable giving through the Foot Anstey Foundation
  • Payroll giving

  • Dog-friendly offices at selected locations

The Opportunity

For an experienced newbuild conveyancer, this is a chance to step into a genuinely senior position with a £100,000 salary ceiling, while joining a firm that places significant emphasis on its people.

The combination of specialist work, senior responsibility, career development and an extensive benefits package makes this one we think is particularly worth a conversation.

If you’re considering your next move in Manchester and have a strong newbuild conveyancing background, we’d be very interested in speaking with you.
