We’re recruiting on behalf of a friendly, well-established regional law firm with an excellent reputation for client care and a supportive working culture. Due to continued growth, they are looking to welcome an additional Private Client Legal Assistant to their busy Taunton office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team where you’ll play an integral role in supporting experienced fee earners while developing your legal knowledge and skills.

The Role

As a Private Client Legal Assistant, you’ll provide essential administrative and legal support to the Private Client team, helping to ensure matters progress smoothly while delivering an excellent experience for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting legal documents, correspondence and reports.
  • Audio typing legal documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Opening, maintaining and organising client files.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors and third parties by telephone and email.
  • Managing diaries, arranging appointments and coordinating meetings.
  • Assisting with the preparation of legal documentation for client meetings.
  • Using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Providing general administrative support, including filing, scanning, photocopying and data entry.

About You

  • Has previous administrative experience within a legal environment or another professional office setting.
  • Possesses strong audio typing skills with excellent accuracy.
  • Has outstanding organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Has good IT skills and is comfortable learning new systems.
  • Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work.
  • Enjoys working both independently and as part of a supportive team.
