We are seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic, and motivated Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive to be a part of our clients’ ongoing success and expansion. This is a full-time position based in their Tavistock office. In this role, you will handle fee-earning work independently and as a valued member of our team. Your primary focus will be delivering exceptional legal services to clients, ensuring that their expectations are not only met but exceeded.
Salary: Highly competitive salary, subject to negotiation depending upon your experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a consistently excellent standard of legal services, exceeding client expectations and delighting them with our service.
- Comply with the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s ethical standards and maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients’ affairs at all times.
- Undertake fee-earning work independently and as a part of the team, contributing to the department’s profitability.
- Maintain and nurture existing relationships with our valued clients, while also developing new connections with third-party referrers to promote our exacting standards and exceptional reputation.
- Handle private client matters, including drafting Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and managing Trust and Estate Administration.
- Actively contribute to the growth and development of the department, playing a role in building the client database and marketing our firm’s services.
- Efficiently use and record all chargeable and non-chargeable activities in the firm’s time recording system and other management records.
- Collaborate with colleagues to cross-refer work and clients within the firm.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations in all activities.
- Take responsibility for financial control of your matters, including cash flow management and billing procedures.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date files, adhering to the firm’s policies on file management.
- Proactively identify fee-earning opportunities and pursue them as appropriate.
- Foster your professional development, seeking opportunities to learn new skills and continuously improve your legal expertise.
- Prioritise safety, adhering to Health and Safety guidelines and the firm’s policies and procedures.
- Fulfil other reasonable duties as assigned by your Line Manager.
