The firm is seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Law Solicitor to join its growing team. The successful candidate will manage a broad and varied family law caseload, advising clients through sensitive and often complex matters including divorce, separation, child arrangements and financial settlements. The role involves working with a diverse client base, from high-net-worth individuals to working parents, providing pragmatic, strategic and empathetic advice tailored to each client’s circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a varied family law caseload independently, including:
    • Divorce and separation
    • Financial remedy proceedings
    • Private children matters
    • Cohabitation disputes
    • Domestic abuse matters
    • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
  • Conducting matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, including advocacy where appropriate
  • Providing clear, practical and client-focused legal advice
  • Handling matters with discretion, sensitivity and professionalism
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of progress and options
  • Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations, data protection requirements and internal risk management procedures
  • Maintaining accurate file management, billing and record-keeping
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers
  • Participating in marketing initiatives, networking events and community engagement
  • Contributing to the development of the family law practice and the firm’s wider strategic objectives

Key Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of family law and procedure
  • Excellent advocacy, negotiation and drafting skills
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to support clients through challenging circumstances
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with case management systems and digital working practices

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor with family law
  • Proven experience of managing a full family law caseload independently
