This firm has several offices across the Devon area, offering an extensive legal service to businesses and individuals both locally and nationally. They are recognised as the leading law firm for several niche sectors and acting for trade associations puts them at the cutting edge of legal developments affecting those businesses. Their specialist team in Newton Abbot is one of the largest in the South West. They represent children, parents and grandparents who are the subject of care proceedings as well as all private law applications and divorce and injunction matters. A high percentage of their work is dealing with public law proceedings, where they are instructed by CAFCASS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and conducting your own caseload.
  • Assisting other fee earners with their caseloads when necessary.
  • Handling both public law, private law, and rule 16.4 appointments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Membership of the Children’s Panel is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good advocacy skills.
  • Good IT and administrative skills.
