A well-established law firm with several offices across the region is seeking an experienced

Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy Residential Conveyancing team in Exmouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced conveyancing professional to become part of a friendly and supportive team.

The successful candidate will work alongside a Partner and an established team of five, providing comprehensive administrative and legal support across a varied residential property caseload.

The role is focused on assisting the team rather than managing an individual caseload, making it ideal for someone who enjoys providing high-quality support within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative and legal support to the Partner and Residential Conveyancing team.
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other third parties.
  • Opening and closing files and maintaining accurate case records.
  • Assisting with the progression of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Supporting the team with general administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the department.

About You

  • Previous experience working as a Conveyancing Assistant or Legal Assistant within a Residential Conveyancing department is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • A proactive and positive approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good IT skills and experience using case management systems would be advantageous.

No formal legal qualifications are required; however, applicants must have previous experience supporting a residential conveyancing team.
