Our client is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join their busy and expanding Residential Property team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established and highly regarded property department that prides itself on delivering an exceptional service to clients across England and Wales.
Working alongside experienced Property Lawyers, you will provide essential support to the team, helping to ensure transactions progress smoothly whilst delivering a first-class client experience.
The Role
As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will provide a combination of legal and administrative support to fee earners involved in residential property transactions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Opening, closing and archiving client files
- Assisting with pre‑completion and post‑completion matters
- Submitting Land Registry applications
- Conducting property searches
- Handling client enquiries by telephone and email
- Preparing and proofreading legal documents
- Liaising with clients, estate agents and third parties
- Maintaining accurate records using case management systems
- Providing general administrative support to the Residential Property team
This is a varied role that offers excellent exposure to the conveyancing process and the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive legal environment.
