Our client, a well-established and growing professional services firm in Devon, is seeking a Private Client Tax Advisor or Accountant to join their expanding Private Client team. You may base yourself from several locations across Devon plus remote working available. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to play a key role in supporting an existing tax advisory function, with scope to further develop and broaden the services offered.
Role
The successful candidate will work closely with the wider team, assisting with a varied portfolio of private client tax matters. Current work includes income tax and capital gains tax compliance, including trusts and estates, as well as Trust Registration Service (TRS) requirements and associated administration. There is also a strong opportunity to become involved in more advisory-focused work. The firm has an established client base, including commercial and agricultural clients, and is keen to expand its tax advisory offering to support these relationships further.
Candidate
The firm is looking for an accountant or qualified tax advisor with experience in private client tax. You will have a solid understanding of personal tax compliance, with exposure to trusts and estates being highly beneficial. You should be:
- Technically strong, with attention to detail
- Comfortable managing your own workload and meeting deadlines
- Interested in developing advisory skills and contributing to service growth
- A strong communicator, able to build relationships with both colleagues and clients
