Our client has several offices across Somerset & Dorset. They provide a wide range of legal services to both individuals and business customers.
On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a Private Client Solicitor to be the Deputy Head of Department. The role is office based with hybrid options considered.
The Role:
You will be an experienced Private Client professional to join the firm as Deputy Head of Private Client. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Head of Department, assisting in the management and development of the team while handling a caseload of complex Private Client matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the Head of Department in managing the Private Client team, including supervision and mentoring of junior staff.
- Handle a varied caseload, including Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning, Probate, LPAs, and Court of Protection matters.
- Assist with business development, marketing initiatives, and client relationship management to grow the department.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and professional standards.
- Identify training needs within the team and contribute to their development.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to provide holistic legal services to clients.
Candidate Profile:
- Significant experience in Private Client work, including Wills, Trusts, Probate, and Tax Planning.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
- Strong client management and business development skills.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to leadership.
- STEP membership (or working towards) would be an advantage.
- Hold a full UK driving license and own a vehicle
